Week 1 (August 28, 2014)

Everyone!

So here's the scoop. My MTC experience has bee going very well. Elder Schroder and I are the Zone Leaders! The 2 new districts (20 missionaries) got here yesterday. There are 16 Elders and 4 Sisters, they are headed to North Carolina, Iowa, and Jamaica.  We have on Elder from Pittsburgh, England and one from Jamaica. My district is awesome we all get along very well. There is Elder; Schroder (Lindon Utah), Marsaw (LA), Thompson (Twin Falls), Campbell (Bluffdale Utah), and Lindsey (West Valley City Utah) as well as Sisters: Taylor (Tokyo Japan) Barlow (Fruitland Idaho) and Navaro (San Francisco). Elders Marsaw and Thompson as well as Sister Navaro are going to Farmington with me and the others are headed to Gilbert Arizona.

My investigators are going very well in our lessons. We teach our teacher as an investigator that they taught on their missions, We committed Anita to Baptism. Our other investigator is real. His name is Lance Beasley, he is a retired cop and has lived in Utah most of his life. We have taught him 3 times and had dinner with him yesterday. He is very interested in baptism and wants to do but he just wants to have some questions answered first. It is so awesome!!! He is going to church with his friend on Sunday too.

I am loving it in the MTC and no longer have diarrhea! The food here messed with your insides for the first few days.

So far I have seen Elder Austin Warnick, Elder Feist, Elder Paul Durrant, Sister Wagstaff and Sister Dawson. The first 4 days were dragging and there was too much study time but now time is flying by and we can't study enough. I  have spiritually grown soo much in this past week. I love the gospel more than I thought I ever could. There are pictures on the way next week. I love you all!!!
